Why the name Marshall Jevons?

The author(s) of this blog selected the name as a parody of the real Marshall Jevons. The three small detective stories by William Breit and Kenneth G. Elzinga are one of the reasons for generating our interest in economics. The three detective books plus Russell Roberts books Invisible Heart: An Economic Romance and The Choice: A Fable of Free Trade and Protectionism are excellent books for teaching economics for the layperson.
